Well the interview did go well - the sort of well where they told me then and there that I've been shortlisted for a second interview that will be happening before the end of next week. They'll contact me in a couple of days to confirm date & time!

It's a nice 20 minute drive out there (but only about 8 miles) but I got out there and went... ugh ok so not thinking much of this place. Then, I was kept waiting like 25 minutes... yeah, wasn't impressed much about that at ALL

However, when the director came down to see me... completely turned my opinion around. He, his two brothers and his sister took over the company from their dad in 1986 and... he's so enthusiastic and animated about the company, about what they do, about the people who work for him, about the whole industry and the fact their pioneers in it and how the company is continually growing and expanding... i was just 'yes! you are the sort of person i want to work for' the whole environment is just so laid back, friendly but doesn't feel forced - the whole attitude of the place its like... yeah, ok, i want this, i like this.

And, he was saying, that although my main role will be the end part of the office work - the invoicing - that i would get trained to do EVERYTHING: the orders, the booking in, the booking out, the progressing of an order and even the technical side of things.

He also said that I'd get a lot more than £14k as well

I do have a good feeling about this and I think this could be that turning point that I've been desperately needing for the last at least 18 months...

So, the first Steve Carlson gig of the month was last night... and can I just say WOW.
There are no words just incoherent noises and flailing arms and grabby hands and the hugest grin and dirty panties

The man is... fucking amazing.
Just... beautiful, he really is.
He has this incredible aura, eyes to lose yourself in
And I want to just bottle up his smile and keep it for forever ♥

His voice... oh holy fuck! ♥

Now, you guys know how many gigs I go to - I've never just sat there and watched and listened and been so totally and utterly trans-fucking-fixed before ♥

I'm ignoring the whole him tripping over my crutches incident *facepalm*

But he kept like peering around at me. I was sitting on like an amp or something at the side (my logic - if i perch on it and it doesn't move, i sit on it and it doesn't break and no-one tells me to move, then i'm allowed to sit on it) kinda half behind the speakers but leaning forward and peering round like, and he kept ducking his head to the side and peering back with an amused expression on his face
*giggles*
